HQE certification is based on assessing performance through a new generation method compatible with international indicators (Sustainable Building Alliance, CEN TC 350).
This approach favours innovation and takes into account the needs of users using non-prescriptive criteria.
It enables an assessment of the overall performance of the building, displayed and promoted by the "Sustainable Building" Passport.
New generation method entirely compatible with international indicators (Sustainable Building Alliance, CEN TC 350)
Certivéa actively participates directly or indirectly via the CSTB Group, working internationally to establish the common indicators used to assess and compare the performances of a building from one country to another.
This participation has helped to anticipate and make the certification technical schemes compatible with international developments, given that it had already been tested in France as part of the «HQE Performance» operation.
HQE certification integrates and values environmental and health declarations (FDES) based on life-cycle analyses of products and materials, which enable the calculation of the indicators for environmental performance of buildings.
